JAMMU, Dec 21: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta today visited Ward Number 74 along with Sobat Ali, JMC Councilor of the Ward.
During the visit the Mayor inaugurated a deluxe toilet complex in Bhatindi area of the Ward.
A handout stated that the toilet complex comprises of bathrooms, three units of urinals and a caretaker’s room.
The toilet complex was constructed at the estimate cost of Rs 10.50 lakh under Swachh Bharat Mission by a Voluntary Organization on Environment & Social Economic Planning (VOESEP) & was constructed on the demand of locals as well as chairman of the local mosque in the area.
Suraj Parkash Padha, Chairman Swacch Bharat Standing Committee of JMC, Mohinder Kumar, JMC Councilor along with Dr. Tahir Choudhary, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Senior BJP leaders and a large number of locals of the area were also present.
Meanwhile, JMC has also started installing the street lights in Ward number 74 wherein the Councilor, Sobat Ali started the work by installing these lights at Chowadi area of the Ward.
