AGRA: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and wife Sara were accorded a warm welcome in the Taj city on Tuesday morning.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received the dignitaries at the airport amid tight security arrangements. Officials said the Israeli couple was first brought to the Oberoi Amarvilas and then taken to the Taj Mahal through the eastern gates in golf carts.
Currently, they are visiting different places at the Taj Mahal with the help of the guide. They are expected to stay at the 17 the century monument for around an hour.
After their visit to the Taj Mahal, the Chief Minister will host them for lunch at the Amar Vilas hotel.
As a security measure, the roads leading to the 17th century mausoleum has been covered with posters and hoardings with welcome messages for Netanyahu. (AGENCIES)
