JAMMU, Nov 24: Some KP organizations today criticized the Government for not informing them well in advance regarding their meeting with Central representative Dineshwar Sharma during his visit to Jammu today.
Kiran Wattal president newly formed Vishaw KP Samaj said that some main organizations of the Pandits were not informed well in advance so that they could prepare a memorandum to discuss the same with the Central representative in case to make the dialogue meaningful.
He said by avoiding or taking the main organizations for granted, the Government was itself playing with the community cause which is leading an exiled life for last 28 years now. He said that these organizations were asked to meet Sharma for five minutes in which they could not give any justice to the community issues which have piled up over the years.
Wattal said in case Government is sincere it should inform the community main organizations and held a meaningful dialogue with them.
The migrant traders have also criticized the Government of not giving time to them to meet the interlocutor. In a joint statement the representatives of traders Ashok Kangan and Shiban Ji Hakoo said that the displaced traders are the main sufferers of 28 year long turmoil but it is unfortunate that they have been ignored by the Government despite the fact that they have been running from pillar to post over these years for justice as they have suffered an immense loss due to turmoil by losing their trade and property.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC), chief Kundan Kashmiri also criticized the Government for not involving the main organizations in the dialogue process. He while ridiculing the Government’s move said on one hand Home Ministry rejected the single township for rehabilitation of Pandits in the Valley as the community’s main demand is settlement on a concentrated place and on the other hand they are inviting us for talks. This way the Government was rubbing salt on the wounds of the community, he added and strongly advocated for one place settlement of Pandits in Kashmir as the only alternative to Kashmir issue to which the community is main stake holder.
