VIJAYPUR, Feb 22: Water logging on Jammu- Pathankote National Highway from Gurah More to Swankha Morh has led to problems of the people.
According to people the failure of the authorities to construct a proper drainage system along NH has led to the problem and also become a cause of routine accidents on this strip.
They said the main cause of water logging on this portion of NH is that there is no proper outlet of drainage water coming out from house holds residing adjacent to NH from Vijaypur to Swankha Morh. The problem aggravates especially during the rains as NH remains submerged in two feet deep water.
The residents of the area while expressing their grave concern over the issue said that water logging often results in accidents on this portion of NH. They demanded that immediate steps be taken to construct deep drain along NH so that people are relieved of the problem.
