They said that the issue was taken up with the concerned Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti but to no avail. Despite his assurance the water supply in the area has not been resumed as no interest has been taken by the staff of the Department till date with the result people of these localities are suffering in this hot and humid Summer.
Kewal Sharma a local socio political activist said “It is unfortunate that no one in the Department takes responsibility of repairing the pipe and restoring water supply to the area”. He warned if the water supply was not restored by tomorrow the people will be left with no alternative but to come on roads.
