JAMMU, Aug 14: Water supply in most parts of Udhampur districts remained affected due to landslides at Jakhaini, triggered by heavy rains, which caused damage to water pipes.
PHE Executive Engineer, Udhampur, Ashwani Kumar Anand said the landslides have caused heavy damage to water pipes disrupting water supply in most parts of the district.
Mr Anand said the repair work of the pipes has been taken on war footing and presently water is being supplied in the district on rotational basis. Regretting inconvenience to the people, he appealed to the people for judicious use of water.
