MENDHAR, Mar 13: The water supply to Salwah area has been affected for the last one week as some miscreants have damaged PHE pipes.
The villagers alleged that water supply from Upper Salwah to Lower Salwah and adjoining areas has been affected as some people broken the PHE pipes lodging their protest against change of survey of a PMGSY road from Salwah to Chowki. The affected villagers despite rain today, lodged protest and demanded that water supply be restored.
AEE, PHE Mendhar Israr Ahmed when contacted said that he has brought the matter to the notice of Tehsildar and SDM besides XEn PHE, Poonch. He said it was law and order problem and water supply will be restored only when administration provides security to the PHE staff there.
