JAMMU, Aug 21: The water supply will remain affected in Janipur, New Plot and adjoining areas for next one week.
“Due to ongoing rains and high turbidity of water in River Tawi, the pumping of water from Sitlee to Lohar has got affected and as a result of which the people residing in areas of Janipur, New Plot, Rehari, Sarwal and Patoli areas will get alternate day water supply for one week with effect from tomorrow i.e. August 22,” said Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) City Division Number 1, Jammu, in a handout issued today.
He advised the people to use the water judiciously during these days.
