JAMMU, May 21: A meeting of Water Works (PHE) Employees Association was held at PHE Station University Campus here today.
The meeting was organized by Ramesh Suman, Rajinder Singh, Sawarn Singh and it was presided over by Raman Kumar provincial general secretary.
Pranav Shagotra national working president Youth Wing INTUC was the chief guest on the occasion.
He stressed on strengthening the organization at various levels in order to protect the rights of employees and labour class in the State.
He highlighted the problems of the labour class especially working in the border areas of the State and urged the Association to highlight the same at appropriate foras.
He also announced body for the University Unit of the Association with Kewal Krishan as president and Garu Ram as general secretary. Kalu Ram was nominated as cashier, Mohinder Kumar and Darshan Lal Thapa as vice presidents. Sanga Ram, Satish Kumar and Kuldeep Kumar as members of the Unit.
