JAMMU, Mar 31: The election campaign has been intensified by Bahujan Samaj Party for the elections to be held for Jammu-Reasi Lok Sabha Seat.
On Sunday, under the chairmanship of BSP State president Darshan Rana, candidate Jagdish Verma and Party leaders visited Tara Chak, Pandoria, Pasgal, Gandli, Pachel, Chak Jagir and Salaher along with other villages under Bishnah Assembly constituency and informed the people about the policies of Bahujan Samaj Party.
They appealed them to contribute in making Jagdish Verma, the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate from Jammu Lok Sabha seat, successful. During this tour, senior Bahujan Samaj Party leaders Tilak Raj Bhagat, Hari Chand, Madan Lal, Bansi Lal and Satpal Baboria and others were also present with him.
Addressing the meeting on this occasion, BSP State president Darshan Rana said that the Governments of BJP, Congress, National Conference and PDP in Jammu and Kashmir have ignored the border people. Every time these political parties promised that the border people will be given five-marla plots at safe places, but after winning, they ditched the border people.
He said that unemployment is high in the border areas and farmers are not getting the right price for their crops, due to which there is a lot of anger among the people towards the present Government. He said that BSP always talks about the welfare of the people. He said whether it is a matter of saving democracy or the rights of the border people, BSP has always putforth its stand strongly on these important issues. He said that in the Lok Sabha elections to be held from Jammu Reasi Lok Sabha seat on April 26, voters should contribute in making the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate successful.
On this occasion, senior BSP leader Tilak Raj Bhagat said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir now want change because all the Governments in Jammu and Kashmir till date have not fulfilled the promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. During the meeting other leaders also spoke.
