JAMMU, Jan 8: A wave of transformative development is sweeping across various districts through the ambitious Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) in Jammu and Kashmir.
This initiative, meticulously designed, is proving to be a catalyst for positive change, driving the effective implementation of Government schemes and fostering comprehensive development.
As part of the campaign, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament (MP), Jammu-Poonch constituency, took part in the yatra at Panchayat Darui, Block Nud in District Samba. Warmly greeted by Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI), Jugal Kishore Sharma led a collective Sankalp pledge, instilling a sense of shared commitment towards making India a developed Nation.
An integral aspect of the event included a live streaming of an interaction between the Prime Minister and beneficiaries via video conferencing. During the Prime Minister’s dialogue with beneficiaries, diverse individuals shared their experiences benefiting from various flagship schemes.
In Rajouri District, the VBSY IEC vans traversed through the panchayats of Sialsui, Kothain-B, Panhar, Khadarian, Bagla Androoth, Rajpur Bhatta, and Rajpur Kamila of block Kalakote, as well as Qila Darhal. This strategic journey highlighted the Yatra’s commitment to reaching every corner of the district and ensuring that the benefits of Government initiatives are felt at the grassroots level.
In the enchanting district of Kathua, the Agriculture Department took center stage in transforming the lives of rural women. Neelam Rani, once a homemaker, shared her heartwarming success story during the ongoing VBSY. The Agriculture Department’s initiatives became the driving force behind her remarkable journey towards economic independence, turning humble homes into centers of change.
The Srinagar Municipal Corporation expands the reach of VBSY to Basant Bagh and Fateh Kadal areas, marking a significant milestone in engaging with the general public. Representatives from various departments actively participate, elucidating the core objectives and procedural intricacies of their respective schemes.
The VBSY continued to generate excitement in Anantnag’s Block Pahalgam, drawing massive public engagement. The Yatra aims to raise awareness about welfare schemes and encourage active participation under the banner of ‘Jan Bhagidari.’ Tangible improvements surpassed expectations, uniting more than 2.50 lakh participants across Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies.
In the heart of Pulwama, the VBSY unfolded as a compelling force for holistic development, transcending boundaries and resonating in Panchayats and Municipalities. The Yatra reached six villages, sparking lively celebrations and nurturing a deep sense of community spirit. Residents embraced the Sankalp pledge with enthusiasm, embodying the Yatra’s ideals.
Led by Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, the VBSY made noteworthy progress in Ramban District. Focused on implementing government schemes, the Yatra involves people in both rural and urban areas. Local youth actively participate in sports and commit to developing India by 2047.
Over 78,000 people, including 30,000 women, participate in the 42-day odyssey, showing keen interest in various schemes, such as PM-JAY Ayushman Card, Poshan ICDS, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, KCC, PM Kissan Nidhi, and more.
