JAMMU, Nov 12: Karan Singh Wazir, Chairman All J&K Transport Welfare Association (AJKTWA) today appealed all the transporters of Jammu and Kashmir to maintain peace and tranquility amongst each other and said that we are a family, working together for the betterment of transporters welfare.
Addressing a press conference, Wazir expressed his concern over the recent untoward incidents happening in different groups of transport association.
He said, “Buses were stopped of Chhamb route at B.C. Road and the passengers were harassed by the goons, who were trying to disrupt the routine working and system of the Chhamb Association.”

“Attempts to disrupt the working of R.S Pura route office were also happened today and the same miscreants/goons were present and a ruckus took place,” he added.
Taking a strong notice of these incidents, SDPO South intervened and took a meeting of the two groups at Warehouse chowki and asserted that the order of court for status quo shall prevail till the next date of hearing.
He further assured the AJKTWA to maintain normalcy and an action will be taken against the miscreants on the applications that were moved to the concerned police stations.
