Wazir elected president of HRA Katra

KATRA, Aug 27: Rakesh Wazir, former senior vice-president of Hotel and Restaurant Association (HRA), Katra and Advisor, India Tourism Development Corporation, was today elected as president, HRA, Katra.
The notification of the election was issued on August 25 and Rakesh Wazir, Managing Director, Katra Mata Vaishno Devi Hotels & Restaurants (P) Ltd, got straight entry for the coveted post un-opposed.
Exercising his power, Wazir appointed former president of the Association, Shyam Lal Kesar, Managing Director, Surya Palace Hotel as chairman, Virender Kesar, Managing Director, Aakash Ganga as senior vice president, Harish Kumar Dubey, Managing Director, Abhinandan Hotel, as general secretary, Madan Aggarwal, Managing Director, Hotel New Kamla Palace, as vice president, Vivek Sharma, General Manager, White Hotels, Abdul Rashid, Managing Director, Sahil Hotel, Mohit Dubey, Managing Director, Tara Palace and Karan Wazir of Hotel Maharaja as secretaries of the association.
While speaking on the occasion, the newly elected president said that providing all industrial benefits to Tourism Industry, development of places of tourist interests around Katra, steps through different authorities to increase the Yatra of Maa Vaishno Devi Ji, which is decreasing continuously from last 2-3 years and safe guarding the interests of hotel fraternity would be his priorities.
