JAMMU, June 29: A delegation of Welfare Coordination Committee (WCC) led by Sanjay Ganjoo, Behari Lal Raina, M K Razdan and C L Dhar called on Chief Engineer Jal Shakti, S E Jal Shakti and Executive Engineers of Civil and Mechanical divisions of Jal Shakti and apprised them of the problems being faced by the people in Durga Nagar , Sector One and Sector Two , Dogra Nagar and adjoining localities of Ward 64 especially during Summer season.
The delegation demanded installation of fresh motor of higher discharge at Muthi Pump Station, laying of pipes from new tube well to OHT Durga Nagar. They also urged them that the JDA VC be pursued to allot the land at main entrance of Durga Nagar Sector 2 for construction of New OHT with a capacity of two lakh gallons of water.
The Committee members also appealed Transport Commissioner for plying of E Bus Services from Bus Stand to Durga Nagar. The JMC authorities were also urged to take immediate steps for macadamization of lanes and by lanes and replacement of defunct street lights in the entire area.
