WCWS holds free medical camp at Kattal Brahmana

KATHUA, Oct 29: We Care Welfare Society (WCWS) J&K organised a free medical camp for eye, general health, Ortho, Gynae check up at village Kattal Brahmana, Hiranagar in Kathua district today.
A handout issued by the Society, said that over 300 patients were examined in the camp. Dr R D Sood Ophthalmologist and famous Phaco/Lasik Surgeon with his team from well known Sood Eye Care Centre , Jammu examined eye patients for all eye diseases and ailments. The handout said that 146 eye patients were examined and among them 43 were screened for cataract surgery and they will be subsequently operated shortly at Sood Eye Care Center, Trikuta Nagar , Jammu.
Dr Arvind Sharma , senior physician, Medanta Hospital Gurugram, Haryana along with paramedical team examined patients of general health related problems.
Facilities of ECG, BP, PFT and Blood Sugar tests were also provided . Dr Anil Sharma Orthopaedician and Dr Kamaljeet Kaur Gynaecologist of National Hospital Karan Bagh, Jammu examined patients of Ortho and Gynae related problems.
Free medicines and spectacles were distributed to the patients. Proprietors of the Birla Open Minds International School where the camp was held are Ram Pal Sharma and Raghunandan Sharma and their team supported and helped the Society in providing the necessary facilities required at the camp. WCWS also complimented the Principal of the School Nanaraj B for his cooperation.
Prof M Sadiq Nargal chairman expressed his gratitude to the entire school team for their cooperation in organising the camp.
Dr R K Gupta, president of the society complimented whole team of doctors , paramedical staff and school management for rendering valuable help for making the medical camp a great success.
Rajinder Gupta, general secretary conducted the proceedings and threw light on the working of the NGO.
Kuldeep Uppal, treasurer and Sudershan Gupta, vice president along with team of 35 members of the Society actively participated in the camp. Ram Lal Kalia ex BDC Chairman also visited the camp.
