Webinar on ‘Global COVID-19 Crisis’ held

JAMMU, Apr 26: Under its health education initiatives, J&K Innovative Foundation for Transforming Society (JKIFTS) here today organized a webinar on current ‘Global COVID-19 Crisis’.
The webinar was anchored and hosted by Founder cum Director JKIFTS, Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo.
Inaugurating the session, Dr Itoo shared his experiences as a doctor in dealing COVID-19 patients.
He advised the people to strictly follow SOPs, experience appropriate COVID behaviour and get vaccinated.
Dr. Abrar Ul Haq Wani, Assistant Professor and senior member of JKIFTS explained in detail the scientific literature and evidence behind COVID-19 pandemic and advised that the people should believe in scientific evidence without falling prey to rumours.
Sohail Khan, JKIFTS member said that religious scholars, civil society, NGOs, administration and others have a crucial role to play.
Abrar Ul Mustafa, member of Council Board of JKIFTS shared his experience while facing the disease personally and recovering from it.
Syed Mujtaba, associated with IMHANS Kashmir and senior member of JKIFTS said, mental health crisis amid COVID-19 pandemic has shown an up-surge and advised the people to follow expert psychological and psychiatric guidance in overcoming stress.
Coordinator JKIFTS Mushtaque B Barq, Towheed Shakil, Syed Mohsin among other members of JKIFTS also spoke on the occasion.
