Webinar series on capacity building inaugurated at CUJ

JAMMU, Nov 12: Central University of Jammu (CUJ) in collaboration with National Commission for Women, Government of India on Friday inaugurated a webinar series on ‘Capacity Building and Personality Development’ for women students of J&K.
The first webinar in the series organised today was on ‘Mental and Physical Preparedness for Employment’ which started after the presidential address by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Ashok Aima and under the guidance of Prof. J.N Baliya, Head, Department of Mass Communication and New Media and Dr. Ritu Bakshi, Associate Professor, Department of Education.
The webinar was hosted by Dr. Nancy Mengi, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work and was categorised in three sessions. First session started with the theme ‘Personal Capacity Building’ by Suneel Vatsayan, Chairperson of Nada India Foundation, New Delhi who gave a brief and informative lecture on ‘Art of Listening’.
The theme of the second session was ‘Professional Career Skills’ by Suparna Kapur, Head of Placement and Training, IMS, Noida.
She introduced career guidance app where students can find courses related to their fields of interest.
The third session was based on the theme of ‘Digital Literacy and Effective use of Social Media’ by Advocate Supriya Chauhan who gave an elaborate lecture on ‘Cyber Crime and Safety Measures’.
Around one hundred students participated in the webinar series and all the resource persons took time to answer their questions. They also offered to help the students with related problems in future.
The webinar ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Archana Kumari, Assistant Professor at CUJ.
