Jammu, Sept 15: The week long Janamotsav celebrations honoring the revered Mata Lalleshwari popularly known as Lal-Ded who was a great Shiv Yogini culminated with religious fervor and gaiety today.
In this regard functions were held in different parts of J&K, India and abroad where the members of Kashmir Pandit community were putting up.
The celebrations started with big bang on September 8 and culminated today. In Jammu Sharika Foundation organised different programmes during the week long celebrations
They included ,Lal Vakhs recitation in which children and volunteers recited sacred Lal Vakhs, filling the air with devotion and joy. Besides, beautiful sketches of Mata were created, capturing the essence of Mata Lalleshwari’s divine spirit.
Visiting guests shared the life history of Mata Lalleshwari with children and youth, with brief descriptions and historical facts.
The 703rd week-long birthday celebration concluded with a serene chanting meditation and lighting of lamps at Sharika Bhawan, led by children and volunteers.
