WEF JMC holds meet, projects demands

JAMMU, Aug 23: Women’s Employees Front (WEF), Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Shehzadi Gill.
In the meeting, the chief guest was MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta, while SHO Women Cell Anita Katal was the guest of honour.
While speaking, MLA and SHO highlighted the issues related to women folk, which they face in the society.
Shehzadi Gill while speaking said that preference and priority should be given to NGO contractors in the newly created 600 casual labour posts in JMC as they are working for the past 10 years, casual labours should be promoted as permanent daily wagers, wages of casual labour should be raised to Rs 9000 per month and JMC retired persons should be treated on priority basis.
She appealed to Commissioner and Joint Commissioner of JMC to support the genuine demands of WEF.
Among others present were Shardi Kumari, executive member of the front, Jyoti Kumari, Sunita Kumari, Anuradha, Khushboo, Khushi, Kirna, Neelam, Baby, Rekha, Najama, Rama and Makhani.
