JAMMU, Mar 2: Jammu and Kashmir weightlifter Akash Virdhy, son of Mukesh Kumar bagged bronze medal in the 71st Men and 34th Women Weightlifting Championship 2018-19 at Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
He lifted a total weight of 318 kg, under the guidance of his coach Dhanraj Singh Salathia.
Jammu and Kashmir Weightlifting Association, J&K State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association has congratulated the player for this achievement.
