The Traffic authorities deserve to be appreciated for taking a bold decision with regard to Passenger Service Vehicles (PSVs).
This was a common spectable to see greedy drivers making two trips within 24 hours from Jammu to Srinagar and vice-versa.
To make a quick buck, drivers often indulged in rash driving and overtaking and in doing so they caused accidents.
Better later than never. This step, if observed, in letter and spirit will surely go a long way in making the National Highway risk free area. Those who violate the order should be dealt under provisions of law.
The driver community should be informed beforehand of such a step so that they shun the old practice of making two trips within 24 hours.
