JAMMU, Sept 11: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee in a meeting today demanded that the due compensation be given to the Lineman, Vijay Singh who died of electric shock on September 9 while on duty.
The meeting which was chaired by president of the Committee, Roshan Lal Raina said that Vijay Singh was an expert in his job and also was people friendly. He was discharging his duties honestly. It demanded that the Department besides, the ex-gratia should provide all benefits under rules to the family. It also demanded a job to his next kin. Two minutes silence was also observed in his memory.
