It is a good news that the JMC has decided to stop dirtying lanes and streets by throwing at will garbage and kachra and such people are liable to be fined to keep the city neat and clean..In all the city wards, totalling 77, a token fine of Rs. 500 shall be imposed and recovered.Those who cannot pay the fine on the spot shall be challaned and made to face court proceedings. The move shall succeed only if the JMC does its duty regularly in keeping the lanes and drains clean and tidy. Dust bins must be provided in lanes and the charges recovered from the residents so that the value and the utility of such dust bins is understood and realised..
