This has reference to the news item ‘6 candidates from Jammu crack civil service exam’ DE Apr 28, 2018. It is quite satisfying rather a delight to know that six candidates from Jammu out of eight candidates of the State have cracked Civil Service Examination 2008. What is more pleasant to know is that most of these candidates belong to remote areas of the State. Their success underlines the fact that these candidates have overcome many difficulties to achieve the milestone of their life.
The State subjects are overjoyed at their feat, and at the same time feel proud of them and wish them all the success in their career. However, people as usual have expectations from them. They expect that whichever assignment is assigned to them they execute that with sincerity and devotion and contribute to the development of the nation.
Besides, their success is a tribute to the trials and tribulations their families may have gone through while they (candidates) were burning their midnight oil.
Morever, these IAS Officers will become the models for coming IAS aspirants of the State. In this way the State will keep on getting a good number of civil servants for building the State and the nation.
