SRINAGAR: Agreeing that Governor N N Vohra should dissolve the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly and hold fresh elections, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said nobody knows now what Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Mehbooba Mufti is demanding from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The state is under Governor’s rule since January 8 following the death of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who breathed his last on January 7 in AIIMS, New Delhi.

The Governor’s rule followed after PDP and BJP could not sort out their ?fresh? differences and form the government though both the parties claimed that  they have not broken their alliance which came into existence when Mr Mufti headed a coalition PDP-BJP government from March last year.

Taking to micro blogging site Twitter the working president of the National Conference (NC) Mr Abdullah said Couldn’t agree with you more. It’s been 7 weeks & we don’t know what, if anything, Ms Mufti’s demanding from the BJP.

He  was responding to a tweet which said PDP-BJP indecisiveness on government formation in J&K can’t be to infinity. Guv Vohra should now dissolve Assembly and hold fresh elections.

The other opposition party Congress in the state has also criticized the PDP for delaying in formation of the government with BJP in the state. PDP president Ms Mehbooba, tipped as first woman chief minister of the state, has been authorized by her party to take any final call with regard to government formation in the State.(Agencies)
