NEW DELHI, July 7: Prices of wheat and bajra rose further by Rs 15 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today owing to on increased offtake.
Traders said increased offtake by flour mills against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly kept wheat prices higher.
Rising demand from consuming industries helped bajra to trade in positive zone, they said.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) advanced by Rs 15 to Rs 1,755-1,760 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and enquired higher by Rs 10 to Rs 1,760-1,765 per 90 kg.
Bajra also gained Rs 15 to Rs 1,135-1,145 per quintal.
