SAMBA, May 8: Standing wheat crop on 40 kanals of land in Rajpora area of Samba district was destroyed in fire today. Besides, 10 bags of wheat were also destroyed in fire in the same village.
According to reports the standing wheat on 12 kanals of land belonging to Rakesh Kumar of Rajpora and on 12 kanals belonging to Bittu Kumar of the same village was destroyed in fire which was caused due to short circuit of wires running over the fields.
In another incident 10 bags of wheat belonging to Bishan Kumar were also destroyed in fire in the same village which was caused due to short circuit.
