RAJOURI, July 18: Indian Army today paid last tributes to Naik Mudassar Ahmed, who was martyred on the Line of Control (LoC) in Bhimber Gali sector on July 17 while responding valiantly to unprovoked firing by Pakistan at the Line of Control (LoC).
Wreath laying ceremonies were organised at Rajouri Military Station, where wreaths on behalf of GOC-in-C Northern Command, GOC 16 Corps and all ranks by the GOC 25 Division.
The mortal remains of the soldier were then sent to his native village for performing the last rites.
Naik Mudassar Ahmed was a native of village Duchoo, tehsil Tral district Pulwama, in Kashmir and is survived by his wife and two children.
