JAMMU, May 15: Bishnah Police arrested a widow along with 15 litres of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Joginder Chib conducted raid and apprehended a widow along with 15 litres of illicit liquor.
Utensils, cylinders and other material used for production of illicit liquor were also seized.
The arrested woman was identified as Veena Devi, wife of late Bachan Lal, a resident of Village Karail Manhasan, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 84/2021 under Section 48 (e) Excise Act and 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
