SAMBA, Apr 21: A tragic road accident occurred today in the Barian area of Samba on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway, resulting in the death of a woman and serious injuries to her husband. The couple, riding a scooty, was hit by “traala” heading towards Jammu from Pathankot. Locals and police rushed them to Vijaypur Hospital, where the woman, identified as Pammi Kumari (44), wife of Sanjay Kumar, was declared dead. Sanjay Kumar (49), son of Janki Nath Pandita, a resident of Migrant Camp Jagti, Nagrota, was admitted for treatment in the hospital.
As per reports the woman’s body has been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem. Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation into the incident.
