Wife, paramour held for stabbing husband

SAMBA, Dec 17: The police has arrested the wife and her paramour for attempt to eliminate husband, a GRP jawan who was stabbed near Suankha Morh in Vijaypur on December 12.
SP Samba, Dr Kaushal Sharma told the media persons that the prime accused, Pabneet Singh, son of Narinder Singh, resident of Chatha in Jammu was nabbed from Bari Brahmana last night by a police party led by SHO Vijaypur Tilak Raj Bhardwaj. He was trying to flee outside the State.
During sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed that he developed relations with the wife of Jasbir Singh, son of Dheeraj Singh, resident of Dayala Chak, about 8-9 months back.  And before the marriage of  Prabjeet Kour, they tried to eliminate Jasbir. When they were returning   from Perh Devta in Nagrota, they planned to eliminate by stabbing. Both the accused have confessed their guilt.
Dr Koushal said on the basis of call details of the mobile phone of the wife of the victim, the police came to know that  after her marriage in three days, there were nearly 60 calls from the same number. SP said as per the statement of the victim, his wife dodged him many times while talking to somebody on her cell phone and he was observing this for the last two days. While moving on bike towards Dalaya Chak, a youth waived hand and asked for lift on bike up to Vijaypur near 17 Miles (Kanthpur) on the fate ful day of December 12. As he ignored the signal, the wife insisted that youth was known to her and asked to offer him lift.
The husband stopped the bike and gave lift. After covering some distance, the wife asked to go out for attending nature’s call and in between the youth attacked Jasbir with sharp edged weapon. Later, both fled on the bike leaving behind Jasbir in pool of blood. He said the police has also seized weapon of offence.
