KATHUA, May 23:A young house wife was alleged to have been strangulated to death at her residence in WNO 4 , Kathua today by her husband. She was identified as Jogita,22, wife of Pritam resident of Chatishgarh.
Police said she was strangulated to death by her husband over a dispute which occurred between the two.
Both the husband and wife were living here and working as laborers. As both were quarrelling with each other her husband identified as Pritam Kumar in a state of anger strangulated her to death. After getting the information a police team led by SHO, Anil Sharma immediately reached on the spot and started investigation. The police took the body in its custody and sent to mortuary for post mortem. The police also detained the husband Pritam and started his questioning. A case under FIR No 179 , under Section 302 was registered.
