Will boycott ‘Navratra Festival’ if demands not redressed: Trade Unions

REASI, Oct 6: Various trade unions held a meeting at Katra and have decided to boycott the ‘Navratra Festival” if their demands are not redressed.
The meeting was organized by Varun Magotra, Nikhil Padha and their team to address the issues arisen due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The speakers demanded opening of maximum number of trains and inter state buses to Katra on the eve of Navratras so as to save the survival of Katra inhabitants.
“It was a dire need of the hour to convey our problems to the higher authority through a meeting”, they added.
Speaking on the occasion, various dignitaries such as Jugal Kishore, Ex-Minister, Baldev Raj Sharma, Ex-MLA, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Vimal Indu, Rakesh Wazir, Sham Lal Kesar, Sardari Lal Dubey, Mukund Ram Sharma, Rajesh Sadhotra, Surinder Advocate, Amit Heera, Varun Magotra and Mikhil Padha expressed the need to increase the footfall of yatries to Katra by removing all restrictions on pilgrims visiting the holy shrine daily.
It was unanimously decided in the meeting to boycott the celebration of Navratra Festival if their demands are not accepted by the authorities.
