JAMMU, Nov 11: After being nominated as Congress candidate for Jammu West Assembly constituency, Surinder Singh Shingari today said that he would raise himself to the expectations and trust of the people of the constituency.
Keeping in view the rich and basic traditions of the Congress, I would raise himself to the expectations and trust of the people of the constituency and State as well without resorting to the politics of divide and misinformation, Shingari added.
The Congress leader said that he is now in the court of people, who would judge his work done for the people in the past 15 years of public life. He said that he never believes in the politics of misinformation and divide rather he believes in a polity of competitive service for the people.
He appealed the people of the constituency to judge and vote on the basis of service rendered to them by the contesting candidates.
