Windfall for Govt employees

The Central Government headed by Narendra Modi has been reiterating that the new constitutional and administrative changes brought in the State of Jammu and Kashmir would result in overall development and with a fast speed is manifest, at the outset, in a big bonanza announced ahead of the State getting the status of a Union Territory (UT), nothing short of a major bonus by deciding to implement all the provisions of the 7th Pay Commission which even though already implemented in the State was in half baked position as most of the allowances payable under the commission were not paid to the employees.
As many as 4.5 lakh employees were going to be benefitted and all the allowances etc which were denied to them so far, would be getting the same, which would raise their monthly gross salaries, with immediate effect from October 31 when Jammu and Kashmir State would formally get divided into two UTs , Jammu and Kashmir as one UT and Ladakh as another UT. This move was going to cost a whooping amount of Rs.4800 crore annually to the exchequer and was going to benefit the employees substantially who now would, as a natural corollary, try to put their extra best in performing and serving the people.
