Wine shop employee, 10 drivers booked; 3 schools sealed for violating orders

JAMMU, Mar 20: An employee of wine shop and 10 drivers have been booked while three schools have been sealed for violating Government orders issued with regard to COVID-19 outbreaks across Jammu Province.
As per reports, on the direction of Government of India, all States and UTs issued orders to curb the menace of COVID-19 and imposed section 144 CrPC by the concerned District Magistrates in their respective areas of responsibility.
Acting upon the direction of Government and Administration, Haseeb-ur-Rehman, SSP Ramban issued orders to Sanjay Parihar, Additional SP Ramban, Rajinder Singh Chib, DySP Headquarters Ramban, SDPO Gool, SDPO Banihal and all SHO and Incharge Police Posts of the district Ramban to implement the direction on grass root level.
Today on the receipt of specific information, SHO Ramban Inspector Sunil Sharma under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Rajinder Singh Chib arrested an employee of wine shop identified as Jaswant Singh, son of Rattam Singh of Sainik Colony, at present District Ramban for violating the order of DM Ramban by opening the wine shop at Karol in District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 40/2020 under Section 188 IPC has been registered and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a joint inspection team led by Tehsildar Bari Brahmana Qasier Malik and SHO Bari Brahmana Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia under the supervision of Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur CP Kotwal reached the SP Smart School and found it operational.
The inspecting team cleared the congregation and directed the school authorities to stop all the activities till further. The team also sealed the school. A religious congregation was also dispersed and directions were issued to them for not flouting Government order regarding maintaining social distance.
However, inspection team of Education Department Reasi visited Presentation Convent High School Reasi and found it functional. The inspection team sealed the school and directed the authorities to stop all the activities.
In District Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir Police booked ten drivers for violation of order of restrictions imposed by District Magistrate Rajouri. Two drivers were booked in Rajouri, six in Manjakote and two in Kandi Kotranka areas. All the drivers have been booked in cases registered under Section 188 IPC in respective Police Stations.
Civil authorities led by Tehsildar Babu Ram Choudhary and assisted by police team also seized a school Third Millennium Public School at Nowshera in District Rajouri for violating DM’s order pertaining to COVID-19 outbreak.
