Wine shop looted

JAMMU, Apr 12: A wine shop situated just few meters away from a Police Post near Ambphalla was looted by a group of thieves.
As per police sources, a group of burglars during wee hours damaged a portion of wall on the backside of the wine shop to enter into it near Ambphalla.
Very smartly, a hole has been created behind the shop as it was not visible to someone and after entering into the shop, the burglars have decamped with liquor bottles.
He said that the shop ‘Sudershan Wine Shop’ is located near Amphalla, just some meters away from Police Post Rehari.
Loot of wine shop just some meters away from a Police Post has raised the question mark over the working of Jammu and Kashmir Police Department.
The owner is assessing the damage and the stock stolen. It seems to be a handiwork of around 2 to 3 persons.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Pacca Danga Police Station on the complaint lodged by owner of the wine shop namely Antim Rathore and hunt has been launched to nab the burglars.
Due to ongoing lockdown in view of COVID-19, the wine shops are shut since March 24.
