Winter Camp concludes with seminar on ‘Financial Literacy’ at GCOE

JAMMU, Mar 4: Government College of Education, Jammu organised a seminar on ‘Financial Literacy’ as part of NSS Winter Camp, which concluded today.
The event was a joint venture of GCOE and J&K Bank. During Winter Camp which was inaugurated by Principal Prof Aekta Gupta various activities were carried out. The symposium on Cultural Practices and Sustainable Development Goal in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, two day workshop on Digital Marketing and Video Editing in collaboration with Ministry of Education to enhance the skill of volunteers were among the main activities during the camp.
The other activities were cleanliness drive in the Canal Head area and in college campus, rally in collaboration with Nature Club of the College on G20 and Energy Conservation, visit to adopted village, beautification and face upliftment of college campus by coloring of stones, wall painting and plantation drive.
On the last day, a seminar on ‘Financial Literacy’ was organized in collaboration with J&K Bank.
Gourav Sachdeva, Assistant Manager Marketing Team emphasised on various topics like basic concept of banking, security market, insurance and housing loans during the seminar.
Kriti, Shubham and other officials talked about educational and other loans being offered by J&K Bank. The Winter Camp was organized by NSS PO Dr Shubhra Jamwal along with NSS team members Prof Sarita, Prof Neeraj, Prof Seema, Prof Shapia and Prof Shalini.
