JAMMU, Jan 14: In view of the prevailing cold wave, Directorate of School Education Jammu has once again extended the winter vacations in the Summer Zone schools for three more days, but only upto class 8th.

According to an order in this regard, the winter vacations of Government as well as private recognized schools have been further extended till January 17, 2024 up to 8th class only.
It has been further ordered that the timing of the schools shall be from 11 AM to 3 PM during the extended vacations.
This is for the fourth consecutive time that winter vacations in Summer Zone schools have been extended.
Earlier, on January 4, the winter vacations were extended upto 6th of January, 2024 and then further extended upto January 12 for the students while asking all the teaching staff to resume their duties with effect from January 8.
