JAMMU, Sept 23: General Manager and Global Head of Recruitment at Wipro, visited Central University of Jammu and announced that Wipro will soon establish a Centre of Excellence at the university.
He was here in connection with a guest lecture. The Training & Placement Office at Central University of Jammu organized the guest lecture for B Tech students in Electronics and Communication (ECE) and Computer Science (CSC) on the theme “How to Prepare for Career and Interviews.”
This initiative was aimed to equip students with essential insights into real-world situations, providing them with specialized knowledge, practical skills, diverse perspectives, and valuable connections.
Sandesh Kumar, General Manager and Global Head of Recruitment at Wipro, visited CUJ campus to share his expertise. During his visit, Kumar announced that Wipro will soon establish a Centre of Excellence at the university. This centre will allow students to work on live projects, enhancing their employability as they gain practical experience and directly engage with industry standards. This collaboration is expected to significantly streamline the hiring process for students, offering them unparalleled exposure to the corporate world, he added.
The event concluded with insightful remarks from Prof Yashwant Singh, Registrar; Dr Rakesh Kumar Jha, Professor (ECE); and Dr Dinesh Kumar, Professor (CS-IT), along with other faculty members.
