Srinagar, Aug 2: Hurriyat Conference (HC) today expressed regret and concern over issuance of “autocratic” orders, one after another, against the interests of Kashmiri people, which are aimed at closing the doors and recourse to employment of youth.
The HC in a statement said that after the unilateral decision taken by the Government of India on August 5, 2019 regarding Jammu and Kashmir; such laws are being continuously enforced here, which are not only anti-Kashmir but also un-democratic.
“After the forcible dismissal of dozens of government employees in the last few weeks, now a policy of not issuing passports and denying government jobs to youth under the garb of being so called stone pelters or anti-national, is being enforced,” the statement said.
The HC said Kashmiri people are well aware what these coercive and anti-people policies by the government targeting the people of Jammu and Kashmir under a proper plan are aimed to achieve. It said those in charge should rethink on their repressive strategy and withdraw such diktats that will only lead to further resentment.
