JAMMU, Aug 10: A group of men under the banner of ‘Youth Against Corruption’ has expressed resentment against the recent Government order to increase reservation in Government jobs and professional institutions in J&K.
Addressing a press conference here today these youth claimed that just two days before the recently held Lok Sabha election, the Government of J&K increased the reservation from 50 per cent to 60 per cent.

They called this as a politically motivated step targeting votes of a particular community
“By such an order the Government has worked against the interests of 75 per cent of the general category population of J&K which amounts to murder of merit,” they maintained adding that if this order is not withdrawn within 10 days then they will start an agitation.
“We will not sit silent and will expose BJP for killing merit in the upcoming Assembly elections if the unconstitutional order is not withdrawn soon,” they continued.
