REASI, July 6: Continuing its drive against illicit liquor, Reasi Police today arrested a woman among two bootleggers.
A Police party, led by SHO Reasi, Inspector J J Bhagat apprehended Som Raj of Serwad Katra from Bus Stand Reasi and recovered 40 poly pouches of J&K Excise liquor from his possession. In this connection case under Section 48-A Excise Act was also registered at Police Station Reasi.
A police team from Chassana arrested a woman, who was indulged in preparing and selling illicit liquor. Police conducted raid in the house of Pooja Devi wife of Rakesh Singh at Naili Chassana and seized 1.5 litre illicit liquor as well as the material being used for preparation of Desi liquor. A case was registered in this connection.
