JAMMU, Apr 8: Police have arrested four drug peddlers, including a woman, from Resham Ghar Colony area of the District.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Bakshi Nagar Police Station led by SHO concerned, Inspector Satvir Singh, raided Resham Ghar locality on Saturday and arrested one Sudesh Kumari of Resham Ghar area, along with her aides, Gaurav Sharma of Rajpura Mangotrian, Rohit Sharma of Udheywala, Akalpur, and Munish Kumar of Rehari, Exchange Road, Jammu, for their alleged involvement in peddling drugs among the local youth.
“Contraband substances, including intoxicating capsules, have also been recovered from the possession of the arrested drug peddlers,” said the police spokesperson.
The accused have been booked in case FIR number 41/2024 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and further investigation taken up.
The locals in Shakti Nagar area have thanked police for arresting the notorious drug peddler along with her aides.
