UDHAMPUR, June 13:A woman was attacked and seriously injured by a wild bear at village Gardiya Khurd in Chenani, last evening.
The victim, identified as Shankri Devi wife of Khem Raj of Gardiya, was on way to home from a nearby jungle after grazing goats and sheep when the bear attacked her. Before the woman could raise alarm for help, the bear attacked and left her critically injured.
The victim was later shifted to Sub-District Hospital Chenani and then referred to District Hospital Udhampur for the advanced treatment.
