UDHAMPUR, June 1: A young woman attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her house in village Charat of district Udhampur.
The woman, identified as Babli Devi wife of Gopal Singh, was rushed to the District Hospital where doctors referred her to GMC Jammu in view of her critical condition.
Cause behind the provocation could not be ascertained.
Meanwhile, a middle aged man, identified as Madan Lal son of Chuha Ram of Majalta, sustained serious injuries after he fell down from a bus while adjusting his luggage on its roof.
He was shifted to Udhampur Hospital and later referred to GMC Jammu in view of his serious condition.
