RAJOURI, Oct 5: A woman was allegedly beaten to death by her drunkard husband in Jhamala village under the jurisdiction of Rajouri Police Station.
The deceased has been identified as Tosha Devi (45) wife of Kewal Kumar (50).
Reports said that the accused Kewal Kumar used to beat up his wife under the influence of liquor. Last evening also, he came to the house in a drunkard condition and started beating up his wife resulting into latter’s death.
On getting information, police reached the spot and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem besides arresting the accused.
Last year, son of the couple had committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance.
