SAMBA, Mar 30: Police today claimed that they have arrested three bootleggers, one among them woman, from this District and recovered 52 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.
They identified the arrested bootleggers as Mohammad Ishfaq and Robina Akhter, both residents of Village Patti Telli, Vijaypur and Johnny alias Johnu of Sumb, Samba.
“The accused have been booked under the relevant sections of the law under separate cases registered at Police Station Vijaypur and Police Station Samba through Police Post Goran and further investigations taken up,” said police.
Pertinently, two of the bootleggers were arrested by a police team comprising of PSI Ajay Singh Jamwal, SHO Vijaypur Tribhawan Khajuria and SDPO Vijaypur Priyanka Kumari whereas one was arrested by a team comprising of Incharge Police Post Goran PSI Sajid Jaral, SHO Samba Rajeshwar Singh and DySP Headquarters Mohammad Usman under the overall supervision of Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
