POONCH, Aug 6: A 30 year-old woman along with buffalo was electrocuted at Dhana Dhakran area in Poonch.
Officials said that deceased woman along with buffalo was passing on road when buffallo came in contact with the LT wire. The woman tried to save buffalo by siding the wire with hand, thus electrocuted to death.
Family members while alleging recklessness of Power Development Department said that the LT wire was hanging from last two days but none of the official reached to fix that.
Deceased was identified as Parveen Akhter wife of Khadam Hussain resident of Dhana Dhakran in Tehsil Mandi.
Deady body was brought to Sub District Hospital Mandi and later handed over to family members for last rites.
AEE PDD Sham Lal while commenting on alleged recklessness of department said that none of the official was intimated about the breakdown of wire.
Station House Officer, Mukhtar Ali said that a case under FIR number 104/2022 under section 429, 304 has been registered in Police Station Mandi.
