JAMMU, Apr 24: A woman today sustained serious burning injuries all over her body at her residence in Old Janipur area of city outskirts.
A police spokesman said that a woman identified as Neelam (40) wife of Ram Chand, a resident of Old Janipur, was seriously burnt in a mysterious fire at her residence, this evening.
He said that the woman with about 95 % burn injuries was immediately shifted by the family members to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where her condition was stated to be critical.
A case in this regard was registered at police station Janipur and investigations were on to ascertain the cause of the fire, as the injured woman was not fit for statement.
